Skeleton Nation: Law enforcement as slave catchers
Wendy McElroy is scared witless, and with good reason. Despite apocalyptic populist chatter about martial law, I think it’s doubtful you will see anything so sudden and dramatic on a nationwide scale (selective local use would seem a given, on the other hand). That’s not the modus operandi of these jokers. Instead, I believe we’re set for a smooth but quick “fade to black”, akin to the oxygen being cut off to the brain of a person being strangled.
Anybody with a correct understanding of class conflict and economics can foresee the way this is all going to go down. It’s also readily apparent in the anecdotal evidence coming in to me of an exponential increase in traffic stops nation-wide, as municipalities are getting crazy-desperate for cash.
They will come for you piecemeal. You will all be picked up one at a time as criminals, not met on some imagined heroic field of battle. You are all guilty of something, or they can say you’re guilty of something or they can pass new laws if they have to (although there doesn’t seem much ground left). Professional police forces, in violation of the spirit of the Third Amendment if not its letter, are themselves all of the occupying army they need.
The ruling class has got itself in a pickle, you see. The cancer is metastasizing. They’re issuing more credit than they have assets to back and foreign creditors will not long tolerate that — unless they get more assets. Guess what? You’re a “human resource”.
The United States will be quickly hollowed out by its rulers as a major portion of its population becomes “criminalized” as a facade for slavery. And I don’t mean the way we compared the tax burden to “tax slavery” back in the 90’s. I mean you’re going to jail and few will panic until their turn comes. And because there aren’t enough jails to house all of the slaves they’ll need to keep the skeleton crew of unincarcerated living at the expense of their fellow North American, you will probably be sent to a hastily constructed prison camp. Welcome to the American Gulag.

VIN SUPRYNOWICZ: The Great Shaman Shamboozle
Steve McIntyre appears to have caught NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies in a slight problem with the backup data for the outfit's "2008 was the hottest October on record" globaloney. (See www.climateaudit.org/?p=4318.)
In fact, although Russia cools rapidly throughout the fall (as both Napoleon and Hitler learned the hard way) McIntyre discovered upon closer inspection that the institute's October readings were PRECISELY THE SAME for each Russian reporting station as their September readings, a statistically impossible coincidence.
Oops.
The discovery followed McIntyre's demonstration in 2007 that NASA had been unjustifiably adding a significant 0.15 degrees celsius to its U.S. temperature reports since 2000, the Heartland folks report.
"The London Daily Telegraph calls this 'a surreal blunder (that) raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming,' " wrote Wesley Pruden in The Washington Times on Nov. 21.Because those who seek to grab political and economic control of the West's free-market economies, herding huge masses of people out of our cars and free-standing homes and into "mass transit" boondoggles and urbanized concentration ghettos where we're more easily watched and disarmed, clearly need the hysterical ululating to continue for a few more years, at least. Only hysteria and a quasi-religious jihad can get the job done. Look what they face:
1) Global warming may well be over.
2) Even if the globe continued to warm at the rate of 1 degree per century, this would be a net minor improvement, allowing us to grow wheat a bit further north. It's the next ice age that holds the real threat.
3) Carbon dioxide is not a toxin, but is natural and necessary for plant life. "Cleaning the air" of carbon dioxide is like "cleaning the earth" of topsoil.
4) If global warming were to continue and even if it were a bad thing, carbon dioxide is such a tiny part of the atmosphere -- and such a minor component among the "greenhouse gases," which also include water vapor -- that no change in climate trends would result even from shutting down man's industrial civilization entirely, overnight. Which can't be done, since most of the world only goes along with this baloney as long as we pay them to mouth the proper magic phrases. MORE HERE

An Urgent Request
Hi Mit, hello Jim, hi Paul-hello Lesley- Hello Mr Tasse- I don't know if any of you know each other but Mit-Jim Stach is from FreedomfighterRadio.net and has helped propagate awareness of our plight further via proxy bulletin on Freedomsphoenix.com and has been gracious enough to host several interviews with me as guest. Mit Etagniw is a former broadcaster with Republic Broadcasting network, and hosts a site called Freedomshinnanigans.com and has also been extremely helpful, once interviewing me while police were still outside my door during an attempted kidnapping! http://www.gabcast.com/casts/3452/episodes/1215289263.mp3
Lesley Hughes has steadfastly supported us as journalist and friend, following the repeated afflictions upon us and now witness to the collusion corruption and wrote judicial breaches of law being committed towards our harm in the Manitoba law Courts as recently as Jan 18/09. Her presence at the Public Safety Buidling Oct 27/07 surely lended heavily to preventing what would assuredly have entailed my kidnapping and torture. Canada's involvement in the kidnapping and torture of Maher Arar, Scott Loper , John Graham, Gary Freeman set vice grip precident underscoring the likelyhood of just that thing.
Michelle Gross has petitioned heavily on our behalf as head of the Minneapolis based Communities United Against Police Brutality. Having witnessed and at times been subject to the tyranny and brutality of the Minneapolis Police force, and having carefully researched the nuances of our ordeal, she has provided corroborative voucher and attest to the accuracy of our account of the attacks upon us. http://advocacymgrosscuapb.blogspot.com/
While Roch Tasse, head of the International Civil Liberties Monitoring Group, has written to the Public Interest Law Center, appealed on our behalf with the ACLU, and appealed to Penny Priddy parliamentary member and MP for Surrey B.C. North- valiantly yet unfortunately without response from a government clearly intent towards our perminent harm.
Winnipeg City Councilor Harvey Smith (hsmith(at)winnipeg(dot)ca has stated quite correctly that he is the only city councilor to stand up to the Winnipeg Police- and he had challenged them on our behalf-so what did they do- city council passed legislation this year making it illegal for him to help us by making it illegal for a city councilor to assist those outside of their riding- and councilor Smith's assistant stated that our case was a primary focus instumental towards that bilaw being passed!
Leon in Toronto has been extremely helpful in posting links on his company website for his Toronto game store, having first seen account of ordeal on the net almost 1 year prior and having contacted me by email thereafter. His level of awareness and
Finally, Joshua Antonelli of the police abuse complaint centre at PoliceAbuse.com as per referral Jim Stach of freedomfighterradio.net, has been extremely receptive to our concerns and we look forward to dealing with their centre as an instrument of justice amidst the sea of injustice in which we are now cast.
Jim and Gianni Hayes ( Gianni Hayes giannihayes@creative-services.biz
info@thenaz.us, info@americandtc.com) have done interview together and Gianni has has a post on Republic Broadcasting This is where the lineage and cross over lies: Republic BroadcastingNetwork . (She also has a position with TheAmericanVoice.com . )
Jim had suggested he might refer me to her and I have since sent her the email below (a detailed press release giving most of the updated nuances of the state terror afflictions upon us)
I am still waiting to here back from her. Our lives are in danger, we no longer have an attorney (read the email) and we VERY MUCH NEED THE PUBLICITY EXPOSURE ON HER BROADCAST WOULD BRING. I see announcements for her broadcasts as spam in my in box every day- we MUST make use of this resource. The court is closing in upon us towards my kidnapping at this point via wrote denial of breach of law towards the occlusion of our stolent possessions with an aim to abcution and the use thereafter of this intellectual property against me in a covert tribunal- my second and my LAST.
I have tried petitioning THEAMERICANVOICE of my own accord Call in LIVE at 1-800-433-1429
Phone:541-826-9050 Fax:810-885-1842 and have spoken to a representative twice now, but have recieved no return of interest!
Some help with TheAmericanVoice and Gianni Hayes would be very much appreciated at this time.
It seems strange- I have done interviews with Charles Guiliani and spoken directly to Vincent Bugliosi an international figure during one of these sessions (“Charles talks with Vincent Bugliosi about indicting Bush for murder, and then he is joined by Aaron James and Ted Pike for the second hour.”

Christians Use Prophecy To Excuse Laziness
by Chuck Baldwin
February 3, 2009
In response to my two previous columns regarding the current development of a devilish New World Order, many professing Christians wrote me with comments to the effect that we should not be concerned about whatever global tyranny may be developing, because "it's all a part of God's plan," or "Jesus is coming soon," and similar statements. I, too, believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth. But, then again, so did Christians from every generation over the last two millennia. In fact, the Apostle Paul was looking for the return of Christ while he lived (Philippians 3:20). But does anticipation of Christ's Second Coming excuse personal neglect, indifference, and downright laziness? Of course not.
Had pastors and Christians of colonial America believed and acted as most Christians believe and act today, this country would still be a Crown colony and we would never have known the freedoms and liberties that our forebears bequeathed to us. Christians of that era, however, believed that it was their duty and obligation to fight for right and do everything within their power to resist tyranny. They also believed that God would honor and bless their efforts, which He certainly did!
It is extremely difficult for me to reconcile the apathy and slave-like mentality that seems to permeate modern Christendom (in America) with both our own heritage and the very Word of God. For example, the Apostle Paul is very clear when he writes that a Christian must never "do evil, that good may come" (Romans 3:8). Yet, that is exactly what many, if not most, Christians are doing today.
When confronted with an obvious evil (a burgeoning tyrannical New World Order, not to mention a number of lesser evils), modern Christians will shrug and glibly say, "It's God's will; we must not oppose it," or words to that effect. This attitude says, "I will tolerate or even condone evil in order to hasten Christ's return."
In the first place, no one knows when Christ will return, no matter how many books or tapes they have produced to say they do. In Acts chapter 1, Jesus was asked by His disciples if He would, at that time, set up His kingdom. The first words out of His mouth were, "It is not for you to know." Oh, we can speculate, surmise, and make educated guesses, but that's the best we can do. It's time we were honest enough to admit it: only God knows when Christ will return. In fact, Jesus said, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" (Matthew 24:36).
In the meantime, millions of Christians across America are trying to play God. They talk as if they know when Christ will come. It's actually worse than that. They have the attitude that they have no personal responsibility to defend freedom and resist despotism. They seem to look at God as some kind of glorified fireman, who is obligated to rush in at the last minute to rescue them from a burning fire--a fire that they helped ignite, or at least, refused to put out themselves when they had the opportunity to do so. It's the old, "God would not let that happen in America" syndrome.
How arrogant can we be? Ask believers from despotic regimes around the world what they think about God letting tribulation come, and they will quickly tell you, "We are already in tribulation." Are Christians in the United States really that arrogant as to believe that God loves them more than He loves believers in other countries? If not, can we not see that if believers around the world have suffered (and still suffer) the heavy hand of tyranny and oppression, it is certainly possible for tyranny and oppression to come to our land? The fact is, the only reason that Christians in America have not (for the most part) suffered tyranny and oppression is because of the hard work and sacrifice of our forefathers. We are simply enjoying the fruit of their labor.
In the second place, how do we know what God would do, if we only had the backbone to do our duty? How do we know that God would not give America "a new birth of freedom" for our children and grandchildren, if we only had the courage and fortitude to oppose the evil being thrust upon us by these would-be tyrants? America is only the "land of the free," because it was the "home of the brave." Take away the latter and we lose the former. And that is exactly what is currently happening.
In the third place, Christians have a moral imperative to resist evil, even if their efforts are fruitless. We are not responsible for outcome, only effort. Believers throughout history acted on principle, leaving the results with God. (Read Hebrews chapter 11.) Some were delivered; some were not. That did not matter. What mattered was doing one's duty. We Christians are to give our bodies as "a living sacrifice" (Romans 12:1). It is God's prerogative to use our sacrifice as He sees fit. Therefore, there is no such thing as a "losing effort," when it comes to doing right. Doing right (resisting evil) is its own reward. The three Hebrew children were not commended because God delivered them from the burning fiery furnace; they were commended because they were willing to go into the burning fiery furnace. So must we be.
I believe the real reason why so many professing Christians are so apathetic and indifferent to what is happening has nothing to do with the teachings of Scripture, Bible doctrine, eschatology, or anything of the like. It has everything to do with old-fashioned laziness. Today's average Christian just flat does not want to be bothered. He has a comfortable house, an easy chair, television, and a set of golf clubs in the closet. He takes two or three weeks' vacation every year, goes to church on Sunday (a church that does not intrude on his comfort zone, of course), pays taxes, and votes for his favorite "pro-life" Republican candidate every two years, and assumes that he is a "good" Christian and "patriotic" American. He is neither!
A real Christian patriot would never allow his country to be taken over by a gaggle of elitist goons bent on stealing his liberties--including his religious liberties--without doing everything in his power to prevent it. A real Christian patriot is active, alert, engaged, zealous, and committed to preserving liberty.
What if Jesus doesn't come for another 100 years? Another 200 years? What are we going to say to our grandchildren when they ask us what we were doing when our freedoms and liberties were being stolen? What will we say to our Christian forebears when we meet them in eternity? They sacrificed everything so that we could live in peace and freedom. What will we say to them? What will we say to God, who handed this land of liberty to us on a silver (albeit blood-soaked) platter?
Tell me again that "there is nothing we can do about it," or "it's God's will," or "Jesus is coming soon." Better yet, tell it again to the suffering Christians around the world; tell it again to our Christian forebears; tell it again to your children and grandchildren who are going to inherit a land of tyranny and oppression, all because you were too lazy to resist.
I know unbelievers who have more character and determination about preserving liberty than many who call themselves Christians. And I have a ton more respect for them, too. Our Lord told us, "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required" (Luke 12:48). Yes, Christians in America have been given the best of both worlds, and many do not even appreciate it enough to see to it that their own children--their own flesh and blood--will live to enjoy the same blessings. They are pathetic!
So, the next time you hear some piety-draped Christian talking about how he won't engage the enemy and fight for liberty, because of prophecy, or some other spiritually-sounding platitude, just remember, it has nothing to do with prophecy, or anything of the sort: it has everything to do with old-fashioned laziness. My feeling toward him is the same as that of Sam Adams (a fellow Christian) toward the Tories of old: "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest for freedom--go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!" Amen!

The Progression of Acceptance of Liberty
The Progression of Acceptance of Liberty
Through my many years of activism, I have noticed a sequence of levels of understanding when promoting the philosophy of freedom to people who have been trained to employ a deaf year. You know the type, those who have been “educated” away from the natural belief in freedom from the halls of “higher learning” in our universities and colleges.In economics they are taught that to increase wealth, government can spend the wealth of taxpayers and national banks can miraculously through the “multiplier” theorem print money backed by nothing to do the same.
In political science, the concept of power and force reigns.
In sociology, they are taught that government must provide for the non-productive.
In engineering, many students extrapolate the laws of physics to the human being, forgetting about the dynamics of human action.
In psychology, many are still taught to ignore personal responsibility in the choices humans make, since the cause of behavior is their upbringing in childhood.
In history, they are taught that the great presidents of the United States are the ones who have engaged in war and government activism in the economy.
In accounting, there is an implicit acceptance of the power of governments to confiscate through taxation.
In law, students are taught to accept the Roman-style code enforcement “positive law” versus the Anglo-Saxon tradition of natural law, common law and the Constitution.
In philosophy, many are taught that everything is relative including existence.
I have only touched the surface of the bad influence “higher learning” makes on the “educated” and “anointed” ones.
So when promoting the philosophy of freedom, I find that those not brainwashed through the formal educational system in this country “get it” much faster than those others. For those others there is a sequence of understanding that must be obtained before one of those becomes a fellow traveler in a true belief in individual freedom. This is especially true with journalists and politicians.
And it is best illustrated through the activism of Congressman Dr. Ron Paul in his recent quest for the presidency and subsequent appearances on the cable news shows.
When Dr. Paul first appeared on the presidential debates, the positions he took sounded like wonderful pearls of freedom-speak; to the anointed, it sounded like the ravings of a fool. So the first step was to ignore the fool.
Then as Dr. Paul obviously started making some inroads with the people, the anointed took him seriously enough that they felt the need to ridicule him.
The next level came when ridicule became counterproductive. This is when the cable news shows started to give Dr. Paul a token minute to explain his views so they could pat themselves on their backs for being “objective.” This has been going on for some time now.
But a few days ago I saw our freedom movement move to the next level, probably the most important level in achieving an acceptance of the freedom philosophy. On “Morning Joe,” the MSNBC morning talk /news show, Mika Bzrezinski invited Ron Paul on and requested, earnestly, to explain to her panel of “experts”, and she said that she used that term guardedly, to show them how they are wrong for supporting the stimulus package. She was sincerely interested in Ron Paul’s answers with ears wide open. And so were here guests. No one-minute token interview here. The exchange must have lasted at least ten minutes where probing question and articulate answer were revealed. These people were really looking for answers and considered Ron Paul the expert in the field. He answered masterfully, at least in the abstract, and probably only failed a slight bit to give them concrete answers on solving the problem. He did but didn’t synthesize his solution enough to satisfy one of those on the panel.
But the step had been taken, the most important step from my experience, that of the anointed type finally asking a real probing question and wanting real answers, not to argue, but to learn. I have found in the past that once this barrier has been overcome, the final step is only a matter of time because we have logic and reason on our side. That final step is the acceptance of the philosophy of freedom with all the de-programming that must occur–a true belief in individual freedom and personal responsibility.
Yes, we will have to go through the additional pain this stimulus package will bring, but I now believe that it is only a matter of time before we see a true new dawn of freedom.

Internment Camps for Americans Redux
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Camps": We are not "good Germans." We will not acquiesce in our own enslavement.
Pete has a post here that everyone needs to read.
HR 645 is a new bill that proposes to build internment camps for American citizens. As disturbing as it is to learn this, there is nothing particularly surprising about the news. This is standard operating procedure for the American Corporate State.
Here is the bill it refers to.
My attitude is this:
What? You think we weren't paying attention to the central lesson of the 20th Century?
You may build the camps, we will not go.
Try to put us in them by force, and we will kill you.
Try to fill them with political prisoners, and those of us you have not snared will break the wire, shoot the guards, slit the throats of the commanders, burn down the businesses of those who collaborate with tyranny to support them and blow up the rails, roads and bridges leading to them.
We are not "good Germans." We will not acquiesce in our own enslavement.
Build the camps if it pleases you. Use them for tyranny, and watch what happens.
UN-True Spin City (drat, Thou Mammering Folly-Fallen Pumpion)
True in spirit, but apparently not true in fact:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/humor/horsethief.asp
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I love this! In this season when Herr Bushitler is trying to put a positive spin on his disaster at our expense here is a story of typical "Neo-ConservativeWhat a bunch of Morooons! (As Bugs Bunny would say)
propagandaspin.Just what is political "spin" anyway????????????
True story and a perfect example…LIES! ALL LIES!!
Judy Wallman, a professional genealogy researcher in southern California, was doing some personal work on her own family tree. She discovered that Harry Reid's great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889. Both Judy and Harry Reid share this common ancestor.
Harry Reid
The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows in Montana territory.
On the back of the picture Judy obtained during her research is this inscription: 'Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.'
So Judy e-mailed Congressman Harry Reid for information about their great-great uncle.
Believe it or not, Harry Reid's staff sent back the following biographical sketch for her genealogy research:
'Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory . His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed.'
NOW THAT is how it's done folks! That's real SPIN.

A Letter I'd Like To See (But Won't)
The "Drug War" is a failure just as prohibition was, only worse. Governments made up of people who think that they can change natural human behavior by violence only push that behavior underground where one day it will arise again. In the meantime the government that behaves this way has undermined all their lofty philosophical reasons for their own existence to banal sophistry. Thus, they become the very reason that they should no longer exist as a social force.
A Letter I'd Like To See (But Won't)
Dear America,
I take it back. I don't apologize.
Because you know what? It's none of your goddamned business. I work my ass off 10 months per year. It's that hard work that gave you all those gooey feelings of patriotism last summer. If during my brief window of down time I want to relax, enjoy myself, and partake of a substance that's a hell of a lot less bad for me than alcohol, tobacco, or, frankly, most of the prescription drugs most of you are taking, well, you can spare me the lecture.
I put myself through hell. I make my body do things nature never really intended us to endure. All world-class athletes do. We do it because you love to watch us push ourselves as far as we can possibly go. Some of us get hurt. Sometimes permanently. You're watching the Super Bowl tonight. You're watching 300 pound men smash each while running at full speed, in full pads. You know what the average life expectancy of an NFL player is? Fifty-five. That's about 20 years shorter than your average non-NFL player. Yet you watch. And cheer. And you jump up spill your beer when a linebacker lays out a wide receiver on a crossing route across the middle. The harder he gets hit, the louder and more enthusiastically you scream.
Yet you all get bent out of shape when Ricky Williams, or I, or Josh Howard smoke a little dope to relax. Why? Because the idiots you've elected to make your laws have have without a shred of evidence beat it into your head that smoking marijuana is something akin to drinking antifreeze, and done only by dirty hippies and sex offenders.
You'll have to pardon my cynicism. But I call bullshit. You don't give a damn about my health. You just get a voyeuristic thrill from watching an elite athlete fall from grace–all the better if you get to exercise a little moral righteousness in the process. And it's hypocritical righteousness at that, given that 40 percent of you have tried pot at least once in your lives.
Here's a crazy thought: If I can smoke a little dope and go on to win 14 Olympic gold medals, maybe pot smokers aren't doomed to lives of couch surfing and video games, as our moronic government would have us believe. In fact, the list of successful pot smokers includes not just world class athletes like me, Howard, Williams, and others, it includes Nobel Prize winners, Pulitzer Prize winners, the last three U.S. presidents, several Supreme Court justices, and luminaries and success stories from all sectors of business and the arts, sciences, and humanities.
So go ahead. Ban me from the next Olympics. Yank my endorsement deals. Stick your collective noses in the air and get all indignant on me. While you're at it, keep arresting cancer and AIDS patients who dare to smoke the stuff because it deadens their pain, or enables them to eat. Keep sending in goon squads to kick down doors and shoot little old ladies, maim innocent toddlers, handcuff elderly post-polio patients to their beds at gunpoint, and slaughter the family pet.
Tell you what. I'll make you a deal. I'll apologize for smoking pot when every politician who ever did drugs and then voted to uphold or strengthen the drug laws marches his ass off to the nearest federal prison to serve out the sentence he wants to impose on everyone else for committing the same crimes he committed. I'll apologize when the sons, daughters, and nephews of powerful politicians who get caught possessing or dealing drugs in the frat house or prep school get the same treatment as the no-name, probably black kid caught on the corner or the front stoop doing the same thing.
Until then, I for one will have none of it. I smoked pot. I liked it. I'll probably do it again. I refuse to apologize for it, because by apologizing I help perpetuate this stupid lie, this idea that what someone puts into his own body on his own time is any of the government's damned business. Or any of yours. I'm not going to bend over and allow myself to be propaganda for this wasteful, ridiculous, immoral war.
Go ahead and tear me down if you like. But let's see you rationalize in your next lame ONDCP commercial how the greatest motherfucking swimmer the world has ever seen . . . is also a proud pot smoker.
Yours,
Michael Phelps
