"Between science and God, I'll stick with God if the two are in conflict."
-- Republican Candidate Mike Huckabee

"Freedom requires religion."
-- Republican Candidate Mitt Romney

"I would probably have to say yes, that the Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation."
-- John McCain

"Just before us is a nuclear countdown with Iran, followed by the final battle: the battle of Armageddon . . . . The end of the world as we know it is rapidly approaching. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad. The best is yet to be."

"Americans must be 'Christocrats' -- citizens of both their country and the Kingdom of God"; "And that is not a democracy; that is a theocracy"; "That means God is in control, and you are not."

March 13, 2008 - Sam Brownback (R-KS) introduced S. Res. 483, a resolution "recognizing the first weekend of May 2008 as 'Ten Commandments Weekend,'" which has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee. The resolution has one co-sponsor -- Joe Lieberman. "The Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation"

"If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier -- so long as I'm the dictator."
--George W. Bush, Dec. 19, 2000

"I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!" -- Rev. Jerry Falwell

"Secular schools can never be tolerated because such a school has no religious instruction and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith.... We need believing people."
-- Adolf Hitler, April 26, 1933

"Our job is to reclaim America for Christ, whatever the cost. As the vice regents of God, we are to exercise godly dominion and influence over our neighborhoods, our schools, our government, our literature and arts, our sports arenas, our entertainment media, our news media, our scientific endeavors -- in short, over every aspect and institution of human society."
-- D. James Kennedy, Coral Ridge Ministries and Bush advisor.

"The really dangerous American fascist... is the man who wants to do in the United States in an American way what Hitler did in Germany in a Prussian way. The American fascist would prefer not to use violence. His method is to poison the channels of public information. With a fascist the problem is never how best to present the truth to the public but how best to use the news to deceive the public into giving the fascist and his group more money or more power... They claim to be super-patriots, but they would destroy every liberty guaranteed by the Constitution. They demand free enterprise, but are the spokesmen for monopoly and vested interest. Their final objective, toward which all their deceit is directed, is to capture political power so that, using the power of the state and the power of the market simultaneously, they may keep the common man in eternal subjection."
-- U.S. Vice President Henry A. Wallace, quoted in the New York Times, April 9, 1944

The Faceless Metal Misers Bailout

This is SOOOO apropos NOW! An oldy but GOODY from 1/10/08. Read the lyrics, almost prophetic! From Sherry Frazier and Two Ton Boa - "Cash Machine!"

Something's cracked inside
Like the liberty bell
My heart clanking flat
Like that cold abandoned shell

Bankrupt thoughts
Steal my hope
Fix the bail
Charge me interest while
I'm stuck in your plastic jail
From my cell I hear
The Clink
Of my freedom ring
Inside the belly of
your cash machine

It should be Criminal
With a capitol "C"
How you try to hook me
With your false promises

These happy endings
Ring a bell
Steal my hope!
Fix the bail
Sell it back to me at cost
In your fancy jail
Like the sun I watch it sink
Like a holy grail
Inside the belly
Of your cash machine

Faceless metal miser
Hoarding desires
Crowned with a briar patch
Of tangled razor wire
You grant
You damn
From your throne in my hands
My mechanical messiah
You've robbed my kingdom blind!

Nickel and dimed
It surely comes as no surprise
I can't afford your paradise
The one that rings me up
And smiles

You cast a spell!
Steal my hope
Set the bail
Sell it back to me at cost
In your fancy jails

You won't rest
Until I sink
Every living thing
Inside the belly
Of your Cash Machine

Faceless metal miser!
Hoarding desires
Crowned with a briar patch
Of tangled razor wire
You grant
You damn
From your throne in my hands
My mechanical messiah
You've drained my kingdom dry!

Ignore the Election

By Larken Rose

Don't legitimize your own enslavement by agreeing that ANYONE should rule you.

Larken Rose

October 2, 2008 - These days, you can hear or read all manner of rantings about how we simply must prevent an Obama presidency, or how we simply must prevent a McCain presidency, depending upon who is doing the ranting. And lots of people have lots of bad things to say -- most of them true -- about the candidate they hate the most. But what they fail to see is that, having accepted the cult of "democracy" as legitimate, 99% of those whining about how bad one candidate is are then stuck supporting someone else who is just as bad. They are so indoctrinated into the mindset of slaves that the only choice they can even comprehend is "WHICH slavemaster do we want?" They are incapable of backing up and saying, "Who says I have to support EITHER of these psychotic jackasses??"

Oddly, those same people then project their own stupidity onto people like me, who actually want FREEDOM. If I point out that Obama is a nationalist socialist, they say, "So you like McCain?" And if I point out that McCain is a nationalist socialist, they say, "So you're a democrat?" Better yet, they rely on the ever-popular, "If you don't vote, you can't complain." When the choices are Hitler and Stalin, the ones who don't vote are the only ones who DO have the right to complain. And yet the American peasants continue to be vehemently partisan, one group insisting that we should be the slaves of Obama, and one insisting that we should be the slaves of McCain. If you suggest that we shouldn't be the slaves of either one, most Americans will be unable to even comprehend the concept.

Let me make this perfectly clear: The outcome of the upcoming presidential election DOES NOT MATTER. Not in the slightest. Either way, a collectivist, nationalist socialist is going to win, and is going to advocate more power for government and less freedom for you and me. You might as well have a national debate on what species the First Dog should be, for all the difference it will make. Whichever lying crook you defeat, his identical twin will gain power.

If only King George III had understood the trick, we'd still be under British rule. All he needed was some other control-freak doofus like himself to run against in an election. Then the colonists would have been so distracted over the pointless debate over which aspiring tyrant was worse, it never would have occurred to them to tell BOTH would-be tyrants to get lost. If you want to get bummed out, do a little research, and find out the level of oppression, taxation and regulation that was inflicted upon the colonies by King George III (which triggered a revolution), and then compare it to the level of oppression, taxation and regulation that today is inflicted upon us by Emperor George (Bush). How did our glorious and noble revolution end up making things so much WORSE for us?

How To Be A Successful Tyrant - CLICK to order

Simple: "democracy" is the best tyrant scam in history. It gives the illusion that the people have power, and so keeps them perpetually wasting their time and effort on things that have never and will never achieve freedom, instead of doing anything that might work. And 99% of Americans worship "democracy" as if it is the ultimate salvation. And they continue in that goofy belief, even when they admit that they really aren't happy with the politicians they have to choose from.

Ironically, in one way the candidates being as bad as they are HELPS the tyrant trick. Plenty of people say, "Well as bad as Barrack Obama is, we just HAVE to defeat him!" And of course, that implies supporting his identical twin, John McCain. And on the other side, people are insisting that McCain and his fellow neo-con crooks must be stopped at all costs! And that, of course, means supporting Obama. People are so determined to vote AGAINST the guy they're scared of, they hardly notice who they are voting FOR: someone just as bad -- in fact, someone exactly the same.

My advice? For starters, don't vote. Don't legitimize your own enslavement by agreeing that ANYONE should rule you. Second, completely ignore the election. Turn off the TV and the radio. The election means NOTHING. It is a show, designed entirely to keep you distracted, and to keep you thinking and doing things (like voting) which will NEVER achieve freedom for you or anyone else. Trouble is, people are so indoctrinated into democracy-worship that if I tell them not to vote, they respond with, "So I should just do nothing?" That implies that voting is the ONLY thing us peasants could ever do about the situation -- an idea which is, of course, trained into the peasants by the tyrants' propaganda.

Now for the punch-line. For 99% of people, the political problem is not an external one. The politicians are not the problem. YOUR belief in the system, and in their "laws," and your belief that "government" has the RIGHT to impose upon you any arbitrary command it wishes, is the problem. You view yourself as a slave, beholden to your masters, and believe that your overriding obligation is to obey politician scribbles ("laws"). As long as you believe that, why shouldn't the megalomaniacs fight over who gets to enslave you? If the only question is WHICH master you should have, then you're doomed either way. If, on the other hand, you start to entertain the radical and extreme idea that you aren't the property of the Republican crooks OR the Democrat crooks, you might start to see new possibilities for freedom.

Terrorists? It's Palin doing the pallin'

Olberman is great form on this one. Succinct, to the point with just the right amount of incredulous satire! However his dismay with secessionist parties is typical of his rabid Unionist Federalism. None the less the Palin insights are delectable!

Ten Reasons Republicans Love Sarah Palin

10) Her Yankee Midwestern/Canadian accent "you betcha!"

9) With our serious unregulated free market meltdown she is still pushing the government is the problem crap.

8) She puts her religious beliefs above her country and the US Constitution.

7) She denies most every facet of scientific knowledge by claiming Biblical creationism is equal to evolution, and human action is not responsible for climate change. Which also shows her lack of logic, reason, common sense and grasp of reality.

6) She reminds Republicans of their Sister in Law who is on the local school board screeching about queers, atheists, sex education and baby murderers.

5) She is an NRA Life Member who likes to kill and gut large animals and wear their skins.

4) She promotes the two wars we fight today, and three more wars with Iran, Pakistan and Russia.

3) Being from Alaska and educated in Idaho, she has never met an African American.

2) She is smarter than most invertebrates.

And the number one attraction Republicans have for Sarah Palin...

1) They know she's no smarter than they are.

Against Presidential Tyranny

First published 7/26/07, it is worth repeating especially today. With a VP candidate that has been an overt Bible thumping, fundamentalist, tongue talking, holier than thou, Ass. of God member (like John Ashcroft) it is important to challenge their faith.

"Examine me, O LORD, and try me; Test my mind and my heart." Psalm 26:2

The writer of Psalm 26 desired that God test his life to to have his inmost soul searched and proved by the Lord. He took great care to avoid bad company, hypocrites and the wicked as the psalmist here tells us he did, in the exercise of conscientious obedience.

If you claim to be a "Christian" then YOU need to read this. Do the words of Psalm 26 apply to you, today and to Sarah Palin?

The problem is that most so called "Christians" practice cafeteria theology. They pick and choose what they want to believe in regardless of consistency of values, or inherent contradictions. One good example is the general acceptance of the Psalms as being inspired by God except for those pesky imprecatory Psalms. Enjoy and pray this prayer everyday, if you dare!

Against Presidential Tyranny

"Do I not hate them, O LORD, that hate Thee?" - Psalm 139:21

This statement as well as scores of others in Scripture no doubt sounds strange to the ears of many modern “Christians.” The idea of a “Christian” hating not only wickedness but wicked people is largely incompatible with the religious sentimentalism pervasive in modern ‘Christianity” epitomized in the expression, "Love the sinner; hate the sin."

A sentimental attitude toward God's enemies does not square with Biblical precedent. If we imitate the example of God and His people as revealed in Scripture, our disposition toward the wicked must be much more austere. For example, the martyred saints in heaven petition God with regard to their murderers, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" (Rev 6:10). The apostle John observed that "much people in heaven" rejoiced at the utter destruction of the vile Babylon (Rev 19:1-3). The utter destruction of an evil society, such as Nazi Germany, or the death of a cruel dictator such as Mao or Saddam Hussein, ought to be an occasion of praise and gladness, as it was for the saints as in recorded in Revelation 19.

While Scripture affords clear examples of dedicated believers who remonstrated with God to delay or withdraw impending judgment on His own people (e.g. Abraham for Lot, Moses for Israel), it also shows the obvious and frequent examples of God's children actually invoking God's wrath on the heathen. The imprecatory Psalms 3 contain petitions by David and others for God to harm and destroy wicked individuals. These are called imprecatory Psalms because an imprecation is a calling down of God's curse. Paul's imprecations recorded in Galatians 1:7-9 and implied in 5:12 parallel the psalmist's imprecations. As Revelation 19:2 makes clear, those who rejoice at the demise of God's enemies are impelled by a desire to uphold the righteous judgment of God.

When sentimentalists concede that they yearn for a world in which judgment is the consequence to be delayed until the final judgment, what they are really saying then is that they are willing to sustain all of the evil results of the vile individuals. The pattern of the Biblical saints is different: the prayers of God's saints for His judgment on the wicked implore Him to act immediately, without delay (Psalms 79:5,6; Rev. 6:10).

Therefore, the moral and spiritual plight the Western world is presently suffering is due partially to the sentimental attitude of the “Christian Church.” They hate injustice, mercilessness, faithlessness, but they are too queasy and sentimental to pray for God to judge corrupt judges, corrupt police, and corrupt politicians. Worse, no doubt some of them are reluctant to practice imprecatory praying because they believe that increased evil is a precursor to their belief in God’s return. In other words, they enjoy the spread of evil because it indicates that the God is coming soon - "Yes, things are pretty bad; but praise God for the increased murder of innocents, spread of disease, and robbery, because that means Gods' coming is right around the corner."

If that attitude seems perverse to you, that's because it is.

Here is an Imprecatory Prayer based upon the Declaration of Independence.

Against Presidential Tyranny

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh Creator of equal people endowed with unalienable Rights, Hear our plea!
We have suffered under a long train of abuses and usurpations that evinces a design to reduce us under absolute Despotism.
Those that were instituted to make those Rights secure no longer derive their just powers from the consent of the equal people, but by threat of violence against them.
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned the Usurper and his minions for Redress in the most humble terms. Our repeated Petition have been answered only by repeated injury.
A President, whose administration is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to govern a free people.
We ask that you justly uphold your Laws of Nature and Be not mocked but do unto him as he has done unto others.
May he reap a bitter harvest of his abuses!
May he collect the wages of his transgressions!
May the shed blood of the innocents he has injured be as an abomination upon his head!
Upon your Providence we have firm reliance, and ask you to Protect us, our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor!
May it be So!
The Vice Presidential Debate Drinking Game
If you're like us, you already started drinking weeks ago in preparation for tonight's debate, which will no doubt be the most watched vice presidential debate in the history of televised vice presidential debates. But if you're waiting till Gwen Ifill officially gets the party started, we've got something for ya.
The rules are simple: each of these is to be accompanied by a shot of any neutral grain spirit you can get your hands on:
* Every time Sarah Palin says "Gwen," open your copy of How to Totally Ace Your Job Interview, and then think about where you see yourself in five years.
* Every time Joe Biden says "malarkey," drink a shot of hogwash.
* Every time Palin mentions Russia, mention France, re: Senator Biden's underpants.
* Every time Biden mentions his Scranton upbringing, sing the first verse of "Allentown."
* Every time Palin mentions wildlife protection, skin the person next to you.
* Every time Biden mentions his father, sing the bridge of "Allentown."
* Every time Palin accidentally agrees with Barack Obama, spin around and around in your chair until whatever she said starts to sound like a GOP talking point.
* Every time Biden mentions taking the train to and from his Senate job, sing the train whistle part at the beginning of "Allentown."
* Every time Palin mentions small town values, inquire about banning a Harry Potter book and bill yourself for your own rape kit.
* Every time Biden drops an anachronism, airmail Alexander Hamilton a cuneiform slab with your pager number.
* Every time someone in the room says Palin seems like someone cool to have a beer with, stand up and yell "Goody Palin is a witch!"
* Every time Biden and Palin break into an argument, make out with the person next to you.
* Every time Biden and Palin make out, debate the person next to you.
* Every time Palin speaks in a run-on sentence, get yourself for into the position of being to drink a sip of beer and therefore on the chair on which you sit turn around and face your neighbor but you will not have had enough into which to vomit and that's good because you will be feeling in a way that is comparable to ways in which you have drunk before, at home, where they teach good drinking values.
The Militia is You
By Larken Rose
The purpose of the Second Amendment is to ensure that the People are able to protect themselves against tyrannical government.
Larken Rose
September 28, 2008 - Other than "THINK, dang it!," I rarely offer advice in my articles. I occasionally tell people things they should NOT do, like engaging in the cult ritual of voting, but now I'm going to urge you to do something very specific. But first, there are some conditions:
1) If you think that you might be capable of intentionally killing yourself, someone you love, or some other innocent person, ignore the rest of this message.
2) If you do NOT think you could ever kill anyone, even if it was necessary to defend you or your family or some other innocent person, ignore the rest of this message.
If you are mentally stable, and believe in the right of self- defense, here is my advice: BUY A GUN. But not just any gun. Buy a rifle, and make it one that you don't have to reload after one shot, or after five. The classic military-style rifles are nice, though plenty of hunting rifles fit the bill, too. (It's handy to have one that takes large-capacity ammunition magazines.) If you already have one, buy more ammo.
I am neither an expert on the various state laws about firearms, nor am I an expert on the zillions of different kinds of firearms, and which is better than another. (I have an AR-15, a Glock 26, and a Mossberg 12-gauge riot gun. Since the feds already know this, I don't care who else does.) My point is, in a way that won't get you arrested, get a gun that can hit things from pretty far away, a bunch of times, without reloading. Then find a place you can go to learn how to use the thing, and get good at it. (A lot of indoor shooting ranges aren't set up for rifle ammo.) And do it as soon as you can. If they could speak, I'm sure many millions of people who are now dead would agree with me when I say, "Get it now, BEFORE you're absolutely sure you need it." Because when you're convinced you need it, it will be too late.
Why am I telling you to do this? (No, I don't own stock in any gun manufacturing companies.) I'm saying this because I want you to have the ability to kill government enforcers, including both police and military. (For defense against common crooks, I wouldn't have suggested a rifle.) I know some consider it shocking to put it so bluntly, but that's exactly what the Second Amendment was made for: so the people always have the ability to kill government agents if it becomes necessary. No, I'm not telling you to go start gunning down feds, and I hope I never have to shoot anyone myself. Though it may seem counter-intuitive to some, often the ABILITY to use deadly force is what PREVENTS violence from occurring. (In most cases where a gun prevents a crime, merely displaying it is all it takes.)
While it may be shocking to some to hear me saying that I want you common folk to have the ability to forcibly resist your own "government," imagine the flip-side: Those in government saying, "We do NOT want you to have the means to resist us." If you ask me, THAT is something worth being shocked about. And if you consider yourself to be a good and responsible person, why would you NOT want to have the means to defend against tyranny? Maybe you just don't think you'd ever need that ability, but is there any reason to want to NOT have it? Aside from cowardice, is there some reason to WANT to be helpless and defenseless if things get really nasty?
Of the pro-freedom people I know personally, most do NOT own any firearms. Years back, when we would have an occasional get-together of freedom folk, we used to facetiously joke about what a sorry group of "extremists" we made, with only two of us owning guns. It's not that the others opposed private gun ownership; far from it. They just didn't grow up in a pro-gun culture, weren't into guns as a hobby, and never got to the point where they thought they needed one -- all of which is perfectly understandable. But now, in all sincerity, I would encourage all sane, responsible people who haven't done so already, to go buy a rifle that can be used in military-style combat. Then hope and pray that you never need to use it. (If you're still thinking, "Some day I probably will," just be sure that "some day" doesn't come one day too late.)
To end this message on an ironic note, in case anyone is thinking, "I'm not going to do that! I'm not some militia member or something!," I have some news for you: If you're male, and between 17 and 45 (or in the National Guard), you already ARE a member of the United States militia. At least, federal law says so (see 10 USC 311). So I'm sure everyone in Congress would be pleased as punch to find out that you've taken on the responsibility of arming and training yourself, to save them the trouble of having to do it. Wouldn't they?
NY Officer Kills Self After Fatal Stun Gun Case
Finally a cop with a conscience. He did one of the two honorable things that a good man would do. Resign or die. Preferably it would be to live and make restitution to the family. However that is not what most poLice departments and municipal corporations do. They deny it, fight it, justify it, and then declare immunity. Are we sure that he alone did this? Maybe the PD decided that he was a threat to their internal security. Hmmmm. - Mit
(AP) A police lieutenant committed suicide Thursday, days after he ordered another officer to fire a stun gun at a naked, distraught man who then fell to his death, police said.
The body of Lt. Michael Pigott, a 21-year police veteran, was found in a police locker room at a former airfield in Brooklyn, dead apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, said Paul Browne, deputy commissioner for public information. He used a weapon that was not his, police said.
Pigott had been stripped of his gun and badge and reassigned to desk duty after the Sept. 24 case in which police, summoned by the mother of an emotionally disturbed man, fired a Taser stun gun as he perched on a ledge.
The man, Iman Morales, fell 10 feet to his death as onlookers screamed. An onlooker's video of the encounter was seen on news stations and posted on the Web.
Almost immediately, police said the use of the stun gun appeared to violate department guidelines, which explicitly bar their use "in situations where the subject may fall from an elevated surface."
Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly ordered refresher training on how to deal with the mentally ill and appointed a new commander of the Emergency Service Unit, which handles such cases. Pigott, a member of the unit, killed himself at the unit's headquarters at Floyd Bennett Field.
On Wednesday, Pigott had apologized, saying he was "truly sorry."
Witnesses and neighbors said Morales, 35, had become distraught and threatened to kill himself. His mother called 911.
When police arrived, he fled naked out the window of his third-floor apartment onto the fire escape. He tried unsuccessfully to get into a fourth-floor apartment, then climbed down until he reached a ledge over a shuttered storefront. He then stood there, jabbing at officers with an 8-foot fluorescent light.
The lieutenant ordered another officer to fire the stun gun. The 50,000-volt shock immobilized Morales, who then toppled headfirst to the ground.
Officers had radioed for an inflatable bag, but it had not yet arrived when Morales fell.
Thursday was ' 46th birthday. Kelly expressed condolences to his family and said he had "served with dedication."
USDC Order Obstructing Bailout Block Lawsuit
Appealed to U.S. Court of Appeals
An emergency appeal challenging a ruling by the U.S. District Court in
Albany denying two requests for emergency injunctions to halt the Wall Street bailouts was filed today in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan. As the bailout crisis evolved rapidly over the last ten days, We The People Foundation Chairman Bob Schulz filed two lawsuits seeking to block the bailouts by challenging the underlying authority of the Government.
The appeal seeks to overturn a ruling late last week by the District Court gutting requests for an emergency hearing at which representatives of the U.S. Treasury, Federal Reserve and U.S. Congress would have been forced to publicly produce evidence establishing the Constitutional and/or statutory authority permitting the AIG and $700 billion bailout packages.
Billions for Bankers--Debts for the People
by Pastor Sheldon Emry
This material is not copyrighted. Feel free to copy and distribute.
Introduction
In 1901 the national debt of the United States was less than $1 billion. It stayed at less than $1 billion until we got into World War I. Then it jumped to $25 billion.
The national debt nearly doubled between World War I and World War II, increasing from $25 to $49 billion.
Between 1942 and 1952, the debt zoomed from $72 billion to $265 billion. In 1962 it was $303 billion. By 1970, the debt had increased to $383 billion.
Between 1971 and 1976 it rose from $409 billion to $631 billion. The debt experienced its greatest growth, however, during the 1980s, fueled by an unprecedented peacetime military buildup. In 1998, the outstanding public debt will roar past $5.5 trillion.
The unconstitutional "share" of this debt for every man, woman and child is currently $20,594.86 and will continue to increase an average of $630 million every day, which dosn't include the $26 trillion in individual credit card debts, mortgages, automobile leases and so on.
U.S. NATIONAL DEBT
The Outstanding Public Debt as of 08/25/98 at 10:28:37 AM PDT is:
$5,516,699,306,752.93
The estimated population of the United States is 270,374,697
so each citizen's share of this debt is $20,403.90.
Today, as we stand before the dawn of a New World Order run by internationalist financiers, most of the revenue collected by the Federal government in the form of individual income taxes will go straight to paying the interest on the debt alone. At the rate the debt is increasing, eventually we'll reach a point where, even if the government takes every penny of its citizens' income via taxation, it will still not collect enough to keep up with the interest payments.
The government will own nothing, the people will own nothing, and the banks will own everything. The New World Order will foreclose on America.
If the present trend continues, and there is no evidence whatsoever that it will not continue, we can expect the national debt to nearly double again within the next six to eight years. By then, the interest on the debt alone should be in the $400 billion a year range.
Prologue: Three Types of Conquest
History reveals nations can be conquered by the use of one or more of three methods.
The most common is conquest by war. In time, though, this method usually fails, because the captives hate the captors and rise up and drive them out if they can. Much force is needed to maintain control, making it expensive for the conquering nation.
A second method is by religion, where men are convinced they must give their captors part of their earnings as "obedience to God." Such a captivity is vulnerable to philosophical exposure or by overthrow by armed force, since religion by its nature lacks military force to regain control, once its captives become disillusioned.
The third method can be called economic conquest. It takes place when nations are placed under "tribute" without the use of visible force or coercion, so that the victims do not realize they have been conquered. "Tribute" is collected from them in the form of "legal" debts and taxes, and they believe they are paying it for their own good, for the good of others, or to protect all from some enemy. Their captors become their "benefactors" and "protectors".
Although this is the slowest to impose. It is often quite long lasting, as the captives do not see any military force arrayed against them, their religion is left more or less intact, they have freedom to speak and travel, and they participate in "elections" for their rulers. Without realizing it, they are conquered, and the instruments of their own society are used to transfer their wealth to their captors and make the conquest complete.
In 1900 the average American worker paid few taxes and had little debt. Last year, payments on debts and taxes took more than half of what he earned. Is it possible a form of conquest has been imposed on America? Read the following pages and decide for yourself. And may God have mercy on this once debt-free and great nation.
Massive Cognitive Distortion
Cognitive distortions are inaccurate thoughts or ideas identified which maintain negative thinking and help to maintain negative emotions.
We all tend to think in extremes...and when traumatic events happen we think that way even more.
Watch the video below and you will see that our "Two Party System" is a Massive Cognitive Distortion! Compare the ideas expressed to the 10 most common cognitive distortions list below. Take a look and see if any of them are getting in your way.
Cognitive distortions
1. All-or-nothing thinking: You see things in black and white categories. If your performance falls short of perfect, you see yourself as a total failure.
2. Overgeneralization: You see a single negative event as a never-ending pattern of defeat.
3. Mental filter: You pick out a single negative detail and dwell on it exclusively so that your vision of all reality becomes darkened, like the drop of ink that discolors the entire beaker of water.
4. Disqualifying the positive: You reject positive experiences by insisting they "don't count" for some reason or other. You maintain a negative belief that is contradicted by your everyday experiences.
5. Jumping to conclusions: You make a negative interpretation even though there are no definite facts that convincingly support your conclusion.
6. Magnification (catastrophizing) or minimization: You exaggerate the importance of things (such as your goof-up or someone else's achievement), or you inappropriately shrink things until they appear tiny (your own desirable qualities or the other fellow's imperfections). This is also called the "binocular trick."
7. Emotional reasoning: You assume that your negative emotions necessarily reflect the way things really are: "I feel it, therefore it must be true."
8. Should statements: You try to motivate yourself with shoulds and shouldn'ts, as if you had to be whipped and punished before you could be expected to do anything. "Musts" and "oughts" are also offenders. The emotional consequence is guilt. When you direct should statements toward others, you feel anger, frustration, and resentment.
9. Labeling and mislabeling: This is an extreme form of overgeneralization. Instead of describing your error, you attach a negative label to yourself: "I'm a loser." When someone else's behavior rubs you the wrong way, you attach a negative label to him, "He's a damn louse." Mislabeling involves describing an event with language that is highly colored and emotionally loaded.
10. Personalization: You see yourself as the cause of some negative external event for which, in fact, you were not primarily responsible.
Ron Paul on Bailout Fallout
Ron Paul appeared on CNN this afternoon to discuss the bailouts. The interviewer put up a quote attributing it to Ron Paul that was actually written by Lew Rockwell on his own site. The site the interviewer found the quote on was actually RonPaulForPresident2008.com, which is not Ron Paul’s site, but rather a very popular Ron Paul site run by a supporter. That site aggregates Ron Paul related news and posts it. In this case, the words quoted are from this post by Lew Rockwell on LewRockwell.com.
Not surprisingly, this is a great example of the media not doing their homework. It is like during his presidential campaign in many interviews where the interviewers marginalized Ron Paul and his opinions . Just when you think Ron Paul was starting to get some respect the media makes a feeble attempt to marginalize his opinion on the bailout. Neil Cavuto recently called Ron Paul a genius. All that being said, Ron Paul does a great job!
Exit Tax for U.S. Expatriates to Become Law
Somehow we missed this one.
From the
Manifesto of the Communist Party 1848
II -- PROLETARIANS AND COMMUNISTS
Of course, in the beginning, this cannot be effected except by means of despotic inroads on the rights of property, and on the conditions of bourgeois production; by means of measures, therefore, which appear economically insufficient and untenable, but which, in the course of the movement, outstrip themselves, necessitate further inroads upon the old social order, and are unavoidable as a means of entirely revolutionizing the mode of production.
These measures will, of course, be different in different countries.
Nevertheless, in most advanced countries, the following will be pretty generally applicable.
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal obligation of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc.
Not anymore!!!
New rules will impose tax on expatriates and withholding requirements on trustees
Giving up a U.S. passport will soon carry a steep price tag. A new law passed by the U.S. Congress and sent to the President will subject certain individuals who expatriate or give up their green cards to immediate tax on the inherent gain on all of their worldwide assets and a tax on future gifts or bequests made to a U.S. citizen or resident.
Tax practitioners had been made to feel like the boy who cried wolf in recent months as the U.S. Congress repeatedly threatened to enact legislation aimed at U.S. citizens who expatriate. Congress finally made good on those threats by unanimously passing the Heroes Earning Assistance and Relief Tax (HEART) Act (the ‘Act'), which provides tax relief for active duty military personnel and reservists.
The new tax regime applies to certain individuals who relinquish their US citizenship[1] and certain long-term U.S. residents (i.e., green card holders) who terminate their U.S. residence (hereafter referred to as ‘expatriates').[2] The so-called ‘mark-to-market' tax will apply to the net unrealized gain on the expatriate's worldwide assets as if such property were sold (the ‘deemed sale') for its fair market value on the day before the expatriation date. Any net gain on this deemed sale in excess of US$600,000 will be taxable. MORE HERE
Anti-Conspiracy Kooks
Larkin has it right again!
Anti-Conspiracy Kooks
If you get up one morning, stub your toe on a table, spill your morning coffee on your shirt, get a flat tire on the way to work,
and have to fix it in the rain, that's called bad luck. The likelihood that a group of devious villains snuck into your house
and moved your table a few inches to where they knew you would kick it, and then somehow sabotaged your coffee mug so you'd drop it,
then did something to your tires to make them go flat ten minutes later, and then somehow made it rain, is pretty darn slim. And if
you think all of that happened, I'd probably agree that you're a conspiracy kook.
However, it is not only possible, but quite common, for people to be "kooks" in the other direction: to not recognize conspiracies
when they are obvious. For example, billions of dollars are spent by people conspiring to get you to buy a certain car. The car
companies spend piles of money on crafting propaganda (advertising) to manipulate your feelings and emotions, because they want your
money. Their magazine ads, TV ads, radio ads, the slogans they use, the images they choose--it's all a "conspiracy" to get your money.
It happens to be a perfectly legal and moral conspiracy, at least most of the time, but it's still a lot of people CONSPIRING to get
money for themselves.
The same is true of just about everything you buy, everything you see in the media, and everything you read. There are thousands of
groups very deliberately trying to persuade you to give them your money. There are, after all, TRILLIONS of dollars at stake, and
almost everyone would like to have lots of those dollars for themselves. So of course companies "conspire" to get you to give
your money to them. I can't imagine anyone being ignorant enough to not realize that.
Another indisputable fact is that some people are not particularly honest or nice. We've all seen the example of the used car salesman
doing his little psychological tricks and deceptions to dupe some poor guy into buying a lemon. And when two or more people cooperate
on coming up with such a scam, that is, by definition, a conspiracy. It's as natural for bad people to do it as it is for
good people to do it, if not more so. (Enron comes to mind.) When there are BILLIONS of dollars at stake, it's naive to NOT
constantly be on the lookout for conspiracy, deception, and trickery. (The Wachowski Brothers' version of "Speed Racer"
expresses this nicely.) Just about everyone has heard the saying, "Follow the money," yet people often seem to forget to do that. In
any news story, ask yourself, who got money and power as a result of this?
Right now we have a HUGE example, involving numbers almost too big to even comprehend. Almost everyone talks as if the proposed
$700,000,000,000 "bailout" is Congress irresponsibly bailing out lendors who, due to bad planning, gave out loans that couldn't be
repaid. Lots of people object to the bailout, as well they should, but in doing so, they assume that the government's version of
events is what really happened.
Suppose some very rich and powerful bankers were either buddies with those in Congress, had some blackmail leverage against them,
or came up with some other bribe or deal which would involve Congress giving them lots of money. If Congress announced, "We're
going to impose a new tax on everyone, so we can give billions of dollars to our rich banker friends," I don't think the public would
be too thrilled about it. So how would they do it?
When deciding what "conspiracy theories" might be true, I like to use this simple test: What would YOU do if you were a nasty crook?
It's a safe bet that anything I could think of, or anything you could think of, the nasty crooks already have thought of. For
example, if I was a crook and I was in Congress (but I repeat myself), and I had some slimy deal with big bankers--foreign and
domestic--that they'd do something for me if I gave them a huge pile of money, here's one thing I could do: Have them plan ahead to
give out millions of loans, including to people who can't possible repay them--in fact, ESPECIALLY to those people. Once there is a
nice big collection of people in debt that they'll never get out of, the bankers and the government can both say, "It's a crisis!"
Then, in the name of saving the country from economic catastrophe (intentionally caused by us crooks), I send BILLIONS of dollars to
my banker buddies and call it a "bailout." Where do I get the money? I take it from the people, of course, not only today, but in
the future. The "bailout" is backed by my promise to keep right on taxing the poor working slobs for years to come. So in reality the
scheme is a tax on everyone in the country, with the money going right to my rich and powerful buddies. But as long as it doesn't
LOOK like that, and as long as most people think the "crisis" was accidental, and don't think it was a conspiracy between me and my
banker buddies, they might get upset, but we'll get away with it anyway.
So is that what the "bailout" really is? It's hard to know what all happens behind closed doors, but if you ask me, the above scenario
is a lot MORE likely than the banks and congress, with all their experts and advisors, going along for years having no idea that the
lendors had made $700,000,000,000 in loans that would never be repaid, and then suddenly realizing it all at once. Now THAT is a
kooky theory, but it is what the media presents as indisputable fact. This is no bailout, nor is it any emergency solution for some
unforeseen crisis. It is a calculated, premeditated and preplanned way for a bunch of control freaks, in this country and elsewhere
(don't forget the Saudi and Chinese bankers) to get lots more money out of the peasants. And they're sure that all of you will just put
up with it. Yeah, you'll complain, and you might even whine to your congressman, but they couldn't care less about that. They get your
money anyway. And the best part is that, if you suggest that any of the above is what really happened, most of your fellow fraud
VICTIMS will ridicule YOU for it, because they're too gullible, or just too stupid, to use simple logic, taking into account human
nature, to figure out what is really going on around them.
