WTP Appeals Again to U.S. Supreme Court

DC Constitution Day Event Canceled

It's been three weeks since our last update. We apologize for that, but it was unavoidable as we needed to focus our efforts on researching, writing and timely filing two important legal briefs.

On September 5, 2008, we filed a petition for a writ of certiorari in the Supreme Court of the United States in Robert L. Schulz, et al v. United States (Docket No. 08-317). This is the so-called "6700" case regarding the constitutionality of forced withholding of pay from the paychecks of workers, and the legality of a District Court's summary judgment order issued to stop Schulz and WTP from distributing Petitions for Redress of Grievances regarding the subject.

On September 11, 2008, we filed a Reply Brief in the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York in Robert L. Schulz, et al v. State of New York, et al. (Case No. 07-943). This is the so-called "N-CEL" case (National Clean Election Lawsuit), regarding the constitutionality of counting votes by machines and computers (i.e., in secret) and the need for paper ballots, hand marked and hand counted.

D.C. Constitution Day Event Canceled

Due to numerous factors, including a substantial lack of participation, WTP has canceled the Constitution Day event planned for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

As Constitution Day passes this Wednesday, WTP Chairman Bob Schulz asks that everyone take a moment quietly to reflect on the current state of our Constitution and the extent that they are personally committed to defending it as the cornerstone of our form of righteous and limited governance.
