Why We Celebrate July 4th

Why We Celebrate July 4th
By Tim Wingate ã 1999

In 1776, fifty-six men signed the Declaration of Independence declaring that,

“We hold these truths to be self-evident…”

What truths were “these truths”?

The 5 Truths

The whole of the Declaration of Independence and the following instituted governments of the United States of America rest upon the acknowledgment of these 5Truths.

The signers of the Declaration of Independence believed that those who supported these 5 Truths were good moral people and supporters of freedom.

However, those who opposed the 5 Truths were against liberty as agents of dictators, tyrants, and despots. Which one are you?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you believe in the 5 Truths?
Truth 1. All people are created equal.
Truth 2. All people created equal are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.  (No commentary was given about the nature of, or, who this “Creator” was believed to be. However, the previous paragraph declares that people have “separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitles them.”  Therefore, it can be inferred based on the common beliefs of the day that the implication was from a general “Enlightenment” worldview.)  The certain unalienable Rights: Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness (an idiomatic phrase combining an Epicurean concept of "prosperity, thriving, well-being," and John Locke's "property". Thus, respect for one's own and another's Life, Liberty, and Property is the basis for GOOD morality!)
Truth 3. Only by the consent of the created equal people with endowed certain unalienable rights, governments are formed to secure those endowed certain unalienable rights and derive their powers only from the consent of the equal people endowed with certain unalienable rights.
Truth 4. When any form of government becomes destructive of those endowed certain unalienable rights of the equal people, it is the “Right of the People” created equal and endowed with certain unalienable rights to replace that government with one that will secure those, endowed certain unalienable rights of the equal people.
Truth 5. When it becomes evident that a form of government has a design to reduce the equal people with endowed certain unalienable rights under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such a government. And that a decent respect for the opinions of mankind requires that the equal people with endowed certain unalienable rights should declare the causes that make them change governments by submitting facts to a candid world.
Make no mistake in thinking that this is a light matter. There are those among us who believe that “government” is the source of rights and liberty. They are the modern day Tories, the royalists, and believers in the divine rights of kings. Only today their “king” is the Government.
We have almost come full circle in our experiment in liberty to from where we started.
From:
an out of control constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary government that reduced its loyal citizens to a property of the State,
To:
a constitutional representative bicameral government with an unanswerable “Supreme Court” that distorts words and meanings in the Constitution thereby reducing the people toproperty of the State.
True American Liberty Lovers still believe in the 5Truths of Freedom
·        To embrace these truths by believing in them and living by them is to be an American Liberty Lover, honoring the men and women who fought and died for liberty.
·        To infringe or alienate these truths by action or accepting the government’s actions is to dishonor the sacrifice of those who have lived and died for us.
On which side do you stand?
(a)   The promise of tranquil security by intrusive government, mouthing words of liberty while taking away rights by regulation, forcing you to give up your “fair share” of freedom for privileged benefits that rest upon you as chains of control?
or
(b)   The 5Truths and the certain human rights endowed to an equal people that must not be infringed by your countrymen in your service in government leaving you to live the “animating contest of freedom” in liberty while pursuing the happiness of responsible self-ownership?
If you believe in the 5Truths then:
  •     LIVE the 5Truths!
  •     Generate interest in the 5Truths
  •     Tell others about the 5Truths
  •     Compare our government today to the 5Truths
  •     Use the Roman numeral V for 5 or Victory or Vendetta.
  •     Greet one another by flashing the “old” peace sign that is a “V” or a wide open hand with 5 fingers spread wide!
  •     Show others the “secret sign” of 5.
The Truth About Easter 2
This year's Ostara and Vernal (Spring) Equinox will be with us on Tuesday, 20th March (at 05:14:01 London time for those who love to be specific)
Also known as:- Oestra, Ostara, Eostre, Vernal or Spring equinox, Alban Eilir or Lady Day, first day of spring and so dates vary from year to year.
It is a time when both day and night are equal and so a time of balance.
See More at link below
Why do Xians celebrate a "pagan" Holyday?  Modern-day Easter is derived from two ancient traditions: one Judeo-Christian and the other Pagan. Both Christians and Pagans have celebrated death and resurrection themes following the Spring Equinox for millennia. Most religious historians believe that many elements of the Christian observance of Easter were derived from earlier Pagan celebrations.
The equinox occurs each year on March 20, 21 or 22. Both Neonaturalists and Christians continue to celebrate religious rituals linked to the equinox.  Neonaturalists usually hold their celebrations on the day or eve of the equinox. Western Christians celebrate Easter on the Sunday on or after the full moon that follows the nominal date of the Equinox -- MAR-21.
Origins of the name "Easter":
The name "Easter" originated with the names of an ancient Goddess and God. The Venerable Bede, (672-735 CE.) a Christian scholar, first asserted in his book De Ratione Temporum that Easter was named after Eostre (a.k.a. Eastre). She was the Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern Europe. Similarly, the "Teutonic dawn goddess of fertility [was] known variously as Ostare, Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostre, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos." 1 Her name was derived from the ancient word for spring: "eastre." Similar Goddesses were known by other names in ancient cultures around the Mediterranean, and were celebrated in the springtime. Some were:
Aphrodite from ancient Cyprus,
Ashtoreth from ancient Israel
Astarte from ancient Greece
Demeter from Mycenae
Hathor from ancient Egypt
Ishtar from Assyria
Kali, from India
Ostara a Norse Goddess of fertility.
So maybe the following makes more sense, or not. Either way it is more fun and entertaining. Enjoy!
