Weekend Comics

This is comic weekend. One of the principles I believe in is to NOT recreate the wheel. When someone else has said or is saying what you want to say, just let them. There is no need to try to reword what they have said, just endorse or caveat their points. Many great thinkers, writers and artists are not fully appreciated until after they are dead. They are visionaries on or beyond the cutting edge of perceived reality. The rest of the herd, flock or troop has to catch up, sometimes years after the creation of the piece. In many ways thinkers and writers are also artists. They just use words to express ideas as their medium. They see things as they are and or will become and try to warn and expose so that the public will benefit. However, because most people are sheeple and the masses are asses, they seldom recognize the importance of the truth that they can't see until they in their desperation look back. Therefore, don't squander great thoughts, ideas and insight just because it is not original with you. Share them so that we all may be annoyed, challenged, inspired to learn and enjoy.

What did the Fascist regimes in Italy, Germany, and Spain have in common?
They consisted of a highly militarized state, backed by corporation and a wealthy elite, that rose to power through a false populism that exploited the public’s fear of foreigners and "moral degenerates".

This precisely defines the formula that Karl Rove designed to consolidate the Bush administration’s power in the recent election.
--Sean Donahue, Nov. 2004
