Not all wars were just. Not all causes were right. Many lives were lost for the wrong reasons. However, many lives have been saved for right and just causes.
Regardless of the hidden manipulations and unseen motivations, those who were willing to lay down their lives, even in a misguided venture, deserve at the very least the respect and remembrance by those who couldn't, wouldn't and didn't.
Remember those who died for your freedoms and live today in their honor so their lives will not have been wasted on the altar of slavery.
